Music is the driving factor in the lives of everyone. Without music, a movie would feel empty, emotional scenes lose the emotion. Tranquility turns to emptiness, anger turns to shame, fear to comedy. Likewise, a game without music becomes, in effect, a slideshow. You might not even notice it’s there, but you will always notice when it isn’t.

Saiphon
Saiphon is a band based in West Sussex. They have kindly allowed us to use some of their music in our game. We found their music fit the general vibe we were going for in the background music. Our head of audio, Aidan, is also a guitarist in this band.

As a musician who has been playing guitar for almost a decade, music has been an essential part of my life for as long as I can remember. Being a perfectionist, I refuse to let the team listen to a project that I am not happy with. To me, if the music doesn’t fit the scene, then it’s a bad piece of music. With that being said, I hope you like the music I have composed for this game and it creates an environment that the you can get lost in.

Sam Gascoigne
I really got into music at an early age, starting drum lessons at 10 and joining all sorts of jazz bands, orchestras and so on. I joined a band for a bit, playing at local pubs and christmas light switch on events, entering a few music competitions and usually reaching the finals or winning. Now I’m in university, starting my path as a session drummer which has led to me also being in another band which has allowed me to play gigs all around London and even release music which boasts several thousands of streams per song and I’m looking forward to seeing how I can help to create a soundtrack that matches up to the rest of the work done for A Recipe for Survival by the incredible team I’m a part of.
